Open in Google MapsSpiritual Sanctity & Significance
Bhumiyadhar is one of the most sacred, quiet ashrams established by Neem Karoli Baba in the 1950s before Kainchi Dham was founded. Situated peacefully on a steep mountain slope, it was Maharaj Ji’s secluded retreat where profound spiritual lilas and healings unfolded.
Sacred History & Manifestation
A devoted hill villager offered a small plot of roadside land to Maharaj Ji. A humble hut (kutiya) was initially built, followed by a sanctified temple where Hanuman Ji was consecrated in 1967. Maharaj Ji often resided here during the intense summer influx.
How to Reach & Travel Guide
Situated on the Bhowali-Nainital road, just 10 km from Nainital and 8 km from Kainchi Dham. Easily accessible by local taxi or bus.
Pilgrim Guidelines
- •Modest traditional clothing is expected at all temples.
- •Photography inside the sanctum sanctorum is prohibited.
