Perched at a magnificent altitude of 6,400 feet, Hanuman Garhi was built by Maharaj Ji around 1950. The temple houses a towering, radiant murti of Lord Hanuman splitting open his chest to reveal Lord Rama and Sita in his heart, offering breathtaking sunset panoramas.
Sacred History & Manifestation
Baba Ji stayed on this mountain ridge when it was dense untouched forest inhabited by wild animals. He transformed the hilltop into an oasis of Rama Nama and consecrated temples dedicated to Lord Hanuman, Lord Shiva, and Lord Rama.
How to Reach & Travel Guide
Located 3 km before Nainital town on the Haldwani-Nainital Road. Frequent local taxis, shared jeeps, and autos run from Mallital and Tallital.
Pilgrim Guidelines
- •Modest traditional clothing is expected at all temples.
- •Photography inside the sanctum sanctorum is prohibited.
- •Chant Ram Naam and Hanuman Chalisa with reverence.
- •Prasad is pure grace; receive it with both hands.
