Spiritual Sanctity & Significance
Hanuman Maui is the tranquil sanctuary where Ram Dass lived, loved, and taught for the final 15 years of his life. Preserved by his caretakers and disciples, it houses an exquisite monkeypod-wood hand-carved Hanuman Murti and Maharaj Ji’s sacred altar surrounded by tropical gardens.
Sacred History & Manifestation
After Ram Dass suffered a stroke, he relocated to Maui where seekers from across the world arrived to sit with him in Satsang. Following his passing in 2019, the home became a perpetual sanctuary for kirtan, loving awareness meditation, and seva dedicated to Neem Karoli Baba.
How to Reach & Travel Guide
Fly into Kahului Airport (OGG) on the island of Maui, Hawaii. The sanctuary is a 25-minute drive eastward through the North Shore.
Pilgrim Guidelines
- •Modest traditional clothing is expected at all temples.
- •Photography inside the sanctum sanctorum is prohibited.
- •Chant Ram Naam and Hanuman Chalisa with reverence.
- •Prasad is pure grace; receive it with both hands.
