Surrounded by tranquil deodar and pine forests on the slopes of Taradevi, Shimla Sankat Mochan was manifested when Maharaj Ji spent time in deep meditation in these pristine Himachal hills in the 1960s.
Sacred History & Manifestation
Maharaj Ji selected this secluded spot on Taradevi hill. With the devoted patronage of the then Lieutenant Governor of Himachal Pradesh and disciples, a glorious multi-temple complex housing Lord Hanuman, Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, and Ganesha was consecrated.
How to Reach & Travel Guide
Located 5 km before Shimla on the main Kalka-Shimla highway (NH 5). Easily reached by car, bus, or toy train up to Taradevi station.
Pilgrim Guidelines
- •Modest traditional clothing is expected at all temples.
- •Photography inside the sanctum sanctorum is prohibited.
- •Chant Ram Naam and Hanuman Chalisa with reverence.
- •Prasad is pure grace; receive it with both hands.
